Un-Four-gettable Fun

with the Wilcox's.

You would think a snow-packed week with our four children, the Wilcox's five, and visiting pals the Clawson's five would have led to serious bouts of cabin fever. Nay, we say.

The children played, and played, and played.

The mama's talked, and talked, and talked.

It was a wonderful vacation.

And then there was...John.

Dear, John.

He pushed our ice-bound car across two lanes of traffic.

Slipped on the snowy cabin drive, falling flat.on.his.back.

Wiped out on the ski slopes.

Lost his iPod while shoveling our car out of a snow drift.

*

And smiled all the while.

*

Is it any wonder that the drive home included

twenty minutes of musing upon moving to California?
